Been a while sine my last post...sigh

Sigh. This year has been rather problamatic for me. Going to school didn't really work out the way i'd hoped it would (read: I didn't go to school, never even signed up for classes).

I didn't finish any of the books i've been working on and have spent the last couple months brain storming a book i've barely started, although i did write a short bit sorta prologue thingy.

I haven't really been inspired recently to do a regular postiing series but i'm hoping i'll get back into it.

Hmmm...demons, councils, and other story ideas....

So i just finished reading the Sentinel books by author Suzanne Johnson, and i found myself engrossed as always by clasifications and how they can be used in forming councils for dynamic story plots.

Since i've been wanting to add some conflict in my stories other than bad guy of the week i'm super interested on twisting this my own way.

I'm thinking i'll put it into use with a demon series.
My werewolves stories have a council but it focuses on dynamics with in that society only.
My wildcard series has city councils of god-avatars, but they don't have an overarching neccesity to work with other cities or have a world wide network or council.
My overarching multiverse has the "elemental" "gods" as a tye of council, but their use is more of a flavor or spice adding effect.
My curses series has the supreme being of my multiverse, but he doesn't report to anyone or need to nessecarily have alliances.

So this leaves me with using the idea for demons.

Why not use the idea with the fey(which i'm seperating from elves, btw)?
Because the way i'm using the already established courts mythos.

Mybe i'll do something with demon angel hybrids? or demon human hybrids? idk yet but it's churning. main goal would be to have the mc become involved in the politics of the demon realm(unsure yet if thats literally placed in a demon realm or what...). Would like to take some insperation from the Ao No Exorcist series. we'll see. i'd rather not have the deamons be exorcist movie deamons...

Short "story" i wrote for a friend while hopped up on caffine. lol

"We have come to capture you, small eared woman, for you are renown throughout the quadrant for your expertise in umox" said the small large eared alien with the pointy teeth.
"You'll never take me alive, little man!" Ilana defiantly yelled, batting away the hand that reached for her bosom which heaved in fear. Backing away from the alien she soon found herself pressed into a corner with no escape in sight.
"Haha! I have you trapped. You will never escape my clutches." the alien said menacingly.
"That's what you think!" Ilana replied, her hand flashing out in a lightning fast strike which ended with the man's overly large and sensitive ears in her grasp.
"Oh, no! Not the ear! My one weakness." pleaded the alien his face clouding over with a look unrecognizable to Ilana's human knowledge. "Ah! now squeeze the cartilage!!"
"What?" Ilana said in confusion.
"Roll the cartilage between your fingers! YEEEAAHHH!! Like that, nice and easy."
"Ummm...."
"Now, harder. Put your back into it. Pull the lobe!!"
"This is making me uncomfortable..."
"No! No! Come on. Just stick your finger in the hole and swirl it around a bit."
"Yeah, no. This is weird."
"Just the tip? I promise you won't even notice."
"I think i'd notice the tip of my finger in some aliens horny little ear."
"Awww, you drive a hard bargain puny eared one. Respect that. I will leave you in peace...this time!"

July came and went..sigh..

So things are finally settled financially, but now it's into the moving places mode. That will hopefully be settled by the end of the year.

In writing news, i've printed out most of what i've got for my stories to help me stay on track and organized.

I've also been doing some "drag" photoshoots, cause i'm awesome.

SO it's the middle of June and i'm doing stuff, probably...

I won't be able to make any solid life plans for about a month, so there's that.

In writing related news, i'm still not feeling up writing anything regularly, but i've been considering diffrent types of reasonable conflict to add into my stories by reading a veriety of books.
Hopefully i'll figure out something.

So...I'm still depressed, although i'm happy to say I have thought a bit more about by stories.

Time away has given me a bit more perspective and it been easier to see connections that i wasn't ready to incorporate before. ^_^

Vegan & Glutten-Free Dinner Party Menu

So I'm still on Vacation, but I thought I'd stop in with this post.
As some of you may know I cook, and I won't say I'm very creative when it comes to cooking, but I will say I go on taste and look and not so much on rules.
Anywasy, the other day I got the idea of what I'd serve if I had to make a full course dinner entirely glutten free and vegan friendly and this is what i came up with.*

*Let me know if i forgot any courses. ^_^

Appetizer: Seasoned cornmeal "breaded" tofu balls w/ mild cocktail sauce.
Since the dish is pretty straight forward regarding the ingredients, presentation would be the individual "balls" placed on the plate and the lines of cocktail sauce slashed across them with a "Ketchup bottle thingy".

Soup: Baby corn and snow pea soup.
Clear vegetable based broth.

Salad: Sliced raw red onion and avocado, mixed with previously grilled and subsequently chilled
asparagus. Drizzled with Cold Ginger sauce.**
**Onion should be no larger than 1/4 in in width, no piece of vegetable should exceed 2 inches in length.

Main Course: Cream Tofu & Cheese Alfredo Linguine topped with diced tomato/white onion/cucumber salad*** served aside Grilled portabello mushroom steak stuffed with "butter" sauteed "broccoli infused tofu" smothered in a "cream cheese" and cauliflower gravy. ****
***Linguine should be tossed in sauce before plating. Diced tomato/white onion/cucumber salad should be made by infusing garlic oil with salt & pepper and then, after cooling oil, tossing Diced tomato/white onion/cucumber in cooled oil/seasoning mixture. Only a tablespoon should be placed upon the center of the pasta.
****press cooked broccoli buds (just the buds) and seasonings into firm tofu. I'm assuming here that you'd need to use cheese cloth to do this. Then press tofu/broccoli into a portabello mushroom cap to size, then saute tofu patty in butter on one side. Replace tofu with cooked side within mushroom cap and then grill the too parts together. Gravy made by cooking "cream cheese" with cauliflower chunks and seasoning with black pepper and/or capers. Corn or potato flour can be used to thicken.

Dessert: Mochi Apple/Walnut Cake with honey.
take slices of raw apple and cook in butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar then cover in chopped walnuts, press these into mochi "batter" before microwaving. When mochi is finished cut into slices and drizzle with honey.

2 Weeks into my Vacation.

Things are quite stressful for me at the moment. I've had to deal with somethings regarding my finances that i wasn't expecting, and the possibility of a move is looming larger as the days pass.

My concern is that the pressure isn't mixing well with the small bubble of reality i've carved out for myself and it's causing a lack of insperation in everything from my writing to my cooking.

I hope that things will get better as i adjust my attention towards fixing what i feel to be trying in my life at the moment.

Also my Birthday is the 14th of May. I'm a Taurus, also known as Ruts-R-Us. lol
Maybe I'll do a post on that soon.

I'd like to give a shout out to the Taureans who've been a part of my life. Happy Birthday all, without you I wouldn't be who I am today. We each play a role in others lives much like a butterfly in Africa. ^_^

Terrorism

~sigh~ Let me be the first to tell you that I do not live in Boston, I don't know anyone in boston well enough to have their phone number or that of their friends/ family who would be able to run over on check on them. What does this mean to me, It means that the bombing that happened there is terrible, BUT that it has nothing to do with me. 

i don't know these people and while there are things i'd appreciate knowing like "Who did it?", "How many people died?", and "was there a reason?" that information takes like five minutes of watching the news if it's information that's available to the public. 

what it does Not take is hours of watching the same "devastatingly emotional" clips playing over and over again. That's fear mongering and emotional porn, and i personally find it disgusting. 

Please don't share that with me. Thank you.

April Fools Day is BULLS@#%!!!

There i said it. It’s a stupid excuse to be a dick to people. Most people don’t even realize it’s not actually a holiday. Like Anywhere. you heard me, nowhere else in the world do people go around on April 1st and make asses of themselves.*

So I’d like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone out there who did or will not partcipate and perpetuate this heinous “holiday” by spreading misery to those around them. thanks for being a grown up. ^_^

*Correction: It is a holiday other places, and it's one based in belittling and/or pointing out the so called ignorance of those who don't share your beliefs or those who's actions you find cause to mock because they are not your own.
That's a pretty good reason to not continue a tradition who's origins have been changed from a form of protest to an excuse for malicious behavior.

New creature idea.

So i was dreaming and in my dream was a "witch", but she was actually a green skinned creature that resembled a woman. And she inflated with "gas" and used that to propel herself and fly.

Green lady who farts her way across the sky....>_<

But then i thought how about, it's a gnarled creature who's territory includes lakes and bogs, who inflates with gases at night and the propels themselves through the air by realeasing bursts of gass from vents in their vine like or wooden body and that cause balls of gaseus explosions similar to will o wisps or fox fire.

That could work. ^_^

The name that kept coming to me was Celladonna, but i was also getting a lot of Kantel, which i belive is how i imagine the words for the harp like instrument.

Well see if anything else comes to me.

I'm too sick to do stuff!

I don’t know all the rules for to and too, but i know that i’m sick. The fever headache I’m sporting is not conducive to writing so i’m taking a break to get well. I’ll be back for next weeks “Ask TheLostSigns”,

Ask TheLostSigns is going on hiatus this week.

I'd luv to spread my wonderful advice to those fictional characters in need, but sadly i'm either hella sick or seriously depressed, cause i'm actually actively avoiding doing it this week. seriously i'm not even gonna try to make some excuse or push it back. I'm just not gonna do it so it stops weighing on me.
Next week i'll hopefully be back with an intsallment.

*The above statement is why i have trouble remaining employed as well. At first i'm super excited and then shortly there after i'm consumed by cripling dread. Hopefully i'll be recovered enough to be creative in time for Free Fiction Tuesdays.

Video blogging? O_o?

So i've been thinking of getting a webcam so i could live blog some stuff.

I mean i could do a video blog of my Writing Supenaturals series, but i thought it might be fun to do a live stream of me writing my Ask TheLostSigns or Free Fiction series.

I don't know that people would be super insterested in that, but it might be fun to get a group of authors together and do a writing workshop/group thing together if were working on some of the same topics like relationships or supernaturals in our stories.

Could be fun...

Anyways I'll post more on this as the situation warrants.

So I only got around to posting this weeks "Ask TheLostSigns" on Friday morning at 3am, my bad. I knew i should have done it yesterday morning. sadface.
Anywasy, it's up now. So Yey!! (^_^)

In other news, I decided to change one of the character slated to appear in the second installment of "Free Fiction Tuesdays". That ment I had to go through and change all the refrences to her in the first installment to feminine ones. I didn't realize how much of a hassle that would be.
well i'm gonna start writing the second installment as soon as i figure out what i want to happen. Or rather what happens. lol
