So...
Less than three press offers open submissions like all the time, but i'm not finished with anything..sigh
They do have submissions for anthologies on a semi regular basis and have recently posted info on their next Fairytale's Slashed anthology. the deadline is March 2016, and stories are between 10,000 and 20,000 words. So i'm going to attempt to finish something and submit it.
I looked up fairytales and found the AT/ATU index, but I think the system designed by Vladmir Propp will be more illuminating and helpful to me.
I'm gonna do something in the Curses series i think, since i was going fairytale heavy on that one.
Wish me luck!

Hmmm...demons, councils, and other story ideas....
So i just finished reading the Sentinel books by author Suzanne Johnson, and i found myself engrossed as always by clasifications and how they can be used in forming councils for dynamic story plots.
Since i've been wanting to add some conflict in my stories other than bad guy of the week i'm super interested on twisting this my own way.
I'm thinking i'll put it into use with a demon series.
My werewolves stories have a council but it focuses on dynamics with in that society only.
My wildcard series has city councils of god-avatars, but they don't have an overarching neccesity to work with other cities or have a world wide network or council.
My overarching multiverse has the "elemental" "gods" as a tye of council, but their use is more of a flavor or spice adding effect.
My curses series has the supreme being of my multiverse, but he doesn't report to anyone or need to nessecarily have alliances.
So this leaves me with using the idea for demons.
Why not use the idea with the fey(which i'm seperating from elves, btw)?
Because the way i'm using the already established courts mythos.
Mybe i'll do something with demon angel hybrids? or demon human hybrids? idk yet but it's churning. main goal would be to have the mc become involved in the politics of the demon realm(unsure yet if thats literally placed in a demon realm or what...). Would like to take some insperation from the Ao No Exorcist series. we'll see. i'd rather not have the deamons be exorcist movie deamons...
Well thats all for tonight, and yes i know i keep changing the spelling on demons and deamons...lol typing is so random.
Laterz!

Curses...
So, i've been thinking about my Curses book. I see it as a standalone, but i've got a niggling feeling that it might run over into a monster of the week kinda thing. sigh.
Also, i think i'm doing a more clear cut antagonist this time. Either the Fey, or sorcerers or an order of something or the other.
In other news, the MC is Oppus the first being in existence, so i had to do a bit as far as omnipitence and stuff is concerned. I leaning towards "him" having been downsized far enough back that the information left over from his all knowing days isn't really applicable anymore.
Also Fates aren't exactly in his perview, since their job is to create the threads of existence and keep a record. As far as the future is concerned, free will wins out so things arn't as clear cut as this will happen at this time.
Power wise, i'm leaning towards the ability to do highly complicated works and works that require large amounts of power, but an inability to do things considered basic or even intermediate. he has tot do complicated things to get the same results, which means more prep and larger chance of things going wrong or being interupted.
Curses in this require a part of the casters soul, which they are often only willing to give up for the menace that results, thus when/if the curse plays out or is broken they want their soul piece back with obsessive focus.
Haven't figure out the logistics of blessings or prophecies yet, but i feel like prophicies are simply the results of blessings and curses, i.e. people finding out.
Thinking maybe when the blessing or curses are played out and the parts of oppus are returned to him(not sure how that works) they contain memories of things that happened in the early years of the universe that have exceptional meaning, as far as from the readers perspective, about what it means to be a human being or have compasion or make hard decisions or beauty or faith or love.
I'm still thinking oppus doesn't like in a city and that he may live with the fates. He'll also probably teleport to places where blessing or cursing activity is taking place or be directed there by the fates or use a "device/talisman?" to figure out where to go.
Oppus's motivation for this so far is reclaiming peices of himself and in a way cleaning up a mess he feels responsible for or not allowing parts of himself to be used by otheres.
Oppus also as an all powerful being most likely had to be betrayed in someway to end up deminished, unless he made the choice to live as a "mortal" and then found he couldn't return as easily as he thought he'd be able to.
Thats what i've got so far. getting exciting write. the meds make the thinking so much easier, so yey. haven't tried writing prose yet, but might start soon, if not we'll se where NaNoWriMo finds me.
Smooches!
